Natural perfumes…

Eight years ago, my mother became allergic to traditional perfumes and other fragrances – developing red rashes on her skin. Most scents sold today contain little to no actual plant perfumes. They are not made from flowers but from chemicals that can be damaging to your health – click here for further information on this topic.

It’s easy enough to opt for natural deodorants – see my previous post here – or even to make your own deodorant – I have found a recipe with baking soda here and can’t wait for trying it.

However, it was challenging enough to find a nice natural perfume. What was once the norm has now become an exception… After some online search, I came across Sharini organic perfumes.

Sharini product 4 handcrafted organic perfumes (€55 each). All their scents are approved by ecocert and I decided to buy one for my mother’s birthday – My favourite scent: Iris Veritable. She has been wearing it for 9 months and she hasn’t developed any red rashes on her skin… Then of course there is no accounting for taste and she told me that she actually prefers Jasmin Celeste;).

The scent may not last as long as traditional perfurmes on your skin but if you spray it on your cloth it lasts for ages. I have been wearing Iris Veritable for the last 6 months and just love it – would recommend it to anyone with perfume allergy.
